I’ve been trying to inventory my closet for sometime now. Apart from realizing that I own too many clothes than I could wear is that I’ve failed to invest in good bags in my wardrobe. I own quite a number of bags but through the years, my experience served me right to recognize that good quality bags will be worth every cent.

For some months now, I’ve been eyeing small backpacks that some of my colleagues were using. I wanted to buy one for the longest time but I failed to think of a good brand and style that would give me the functionality that I would need. That’s when I decided to go basic and found Fjallraven backpacks. I hope this Fjallraven Kanken backpack review will serve you well in your purchase decision.

The Kanken Mini Backpack

Fjallraven Kanken Mini backpack has a minimal style that I feel can suit any outfit. It comes in many different colors but mine is in Forest Green. I’m torn between getting this color or the Leaf Green one but upon a lot of hours of deliberation and research, I thought that this color would suit my wardrobe better with its neutral tone.

The front pocket of Fjallraven Kanken Mini backpack is secured with a zipper and can store small trinkets and wallets. I use mine for storing my coin purse for easy access when I go commute. I also use this to contain some biscuits and candies for binge eating on boring hours.

I think the side pockets will be good to put a regular bottled water and umbrella. I use a blue refillable tumbler as my water bottle which can’t fit these pockets so I usually put my keys and other small trinkets inside instead. These are pretty deep storages so I believe this can be a safe place for them. Otherwise, put your essentials inside the bags.

The main compartment of Fjallraven Kanken Mini backpack can be spacious. Don’t let first impression fools you. Despite its size, I found it to be spacious as an everyday bag. My friend was actually surprised that it fitted an umbrella, a notebook, 3 wallets and my jeans inside.

There’s actually another pocket inside the Fjallraven Kanken backpack. I thought at first that this is a place where you are to put your tablet or mini laptop (if that would fit). But basically, this just houses the back padding of the bag to make sure you won’t get sore back from carrying heavy items.

On the other hand, the straps of the Fjallraven backpack is not padded. Usually, this would means that it’s not recommended to carry heavy things. Another note to those who would buy Fjallraven backpacks, fixing the straps might seem challenging, because it will be, but you’ll find a way. I tried to challenge myself and I did.
